The Opelousas Museum & Interpretive Center is a City of Opelousas institution, and the City provides the essential support that keeps the museum open and accessible to the public.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Friends of the Opelousas Museum provides an opportunity for individuals, businesses, foundations, and community members to invest directly in the programs, exhibits, and special projects that help the museum grow and serve our community.
Your contribution can help support:
Museum exhibitions and exhibit materials
Educational programs and resources
Preservation and collection needs
Community events and cultural programming
Special projects that benefit the museum
Your support helps turn ideas into experiences that educate, inspire, and bring people together.
Membership means joining the community of people who believe Opelousas history, culture, and stories are worth preserving, sharing, and carrying forward.
A gift of $24 or more per year ($2 per month) makes you a Friend.
Give any amount that feels right for you. Gifts of less than $24 per year are welcome, too, and every contribution helps Friends support the museum.
Give once or give monthly. Become a Friend. Be part of what's possible.
